Lundh Named GSC Freshman of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- Mississippi College's Ida Lundh earned Gulf South Conference Women's Golf Freshman of the Week following her performance earlier this week, as announced by the conference office on Thursday, Feb. 28.
 
Lundh claimed the University of Mobile Ram Invitational as she posted a tournament score of 221. It is the second-lowest tournament score of the season for the Gislaved, Sweden, native. She opened the invitational with a score of 78, followed with a 70 in the second round and closed out her card with a 73 in the final round. The 70 in the second round is the second-lowest overall round and her lowest in the second round this season.
 
She registered seven birdies during the two-day event and added an eagle. She led the tournament field with an average score of 4.50 in par five holes and was second in par fours with an average of 4.23. She also carded an average of 3.33 in par threes.
 
This marks the third freshman of the week laurel from the conference office for Lundh.
 
Mississippi College returns to action on Sunday, March 10 in the Emerald Coast Collegiate, hosted by the University of Missouri-St. Louis, at Baytowne Golf Club.
