MC Falls to Alabama Huntsville in GSC Road Action

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Mississippi College dropped a 101-71 decision to Alabama Huntsville Thursday night in Gulf South Conference play at Propst Arena.

The Choctaws (6-5, 2-3 GSC) stayed within striking distance in the first half, trailing 53-36 at the break. However, the Chargers (10-1, 5-0 GSC) pulled away in the second half, outscoring Mississippi College 48-35.

Tremaine Dixon led the Choctaws with 24 points off the bench, while Rashad Bolden added 14 points. The team shot 43.8% from the field but struggled from three-point range, hitting just 4 of 16 attempts (25%).

Alabama Huntsville was led by Daniel Parker with 19 points. Jaylon Luster and Cameron McDowell added 16 and 15 points, respectively. The Chargers shot 53.2% from the field and 42.9% from beyond the arc.

Mississippi College will look to rebound Saturday at West Alabama with tip-off beginning at 4 p.m.
