CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team extended its win streak as it topped the University of Alabama in Huntsville in four sets on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The victory was the first over the Chargers inside A.E. Wood Coliseum since 2016. MC improved to 10-9 overall and 8-3 in the Gulf South Conference.
The decision averenged a prior setback in Spragins Hall earlier this season to open conference play.

However, the Blue and Gold rallied to take the next three sets (25-20, 25-21 and 25-21) and clinch the contest. MC bolstered attack clips of .381 and .306 in the second and fourth frames in route to a .263 clip for the match – the fourth-best attack percentage this season.
Â
In the third frame, MC took an early 8-3 lead and never looked back, despite late rally attempts.
In the fourth set, the two teams went point-for-point, exchanging lead changes and stalemates. The Choctaw grabbed a 22-17 advantage, but UAH rallied to narrow the gap to two points, 22-20, behind a 3-0 surge. MC closed out the set and the match with three of the next four points, including kills from Paulette and Foster. Pixley nailed the door shut with an ace.
