CLINTON, Miss. – The countdown to a new athletic season at Mississippi College has begun with the annual Choctaw Fanfare, a beloved tradition on campus, scheduled for Wednesday, August 16, beginning at 4 p.m. The event promises a mix of athletic showcases, music, and community spirit.
Mississippi College Athletic Director, Kenny Bizot, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming event. "Choctaw Fanfare serves as the perfect prelude to our athletic year, bringing together our students, athletes, and the larger community. We're eagerly anticipating a day of unity, school spirit, and a preview of the thrilling sports season ahead."
The detailed schedule for the day's events is as follows:

4:00 p.m.: Students are invited to participate in a celebratory walk through the Quad leading to the College Street Steps for a commemorative group photo.

4:20 p.m.: As the student walk concludes, athletes will make their way inside Alumni Hall to begin the Choctaw Walk.

4:30 p.m.: Food lines open, offering dinner for attendees and setting the stage for an evening of fun and celebration.

4:45 p.m.: The MC cheer, dance, and band will provide a sneak peek of their upcoming performances.

5:50 p.m.: As Fanfare comes to a close, students are encouraged to transition to the stadium, for the evening's football scrimmage.

6:00 p.m.: The highlight of the evening, the annual MC football scrimmage, will take center stage, providing fans a glimpse of the Choctaw football team for the upcoming season.
