CLINTON, Miss. — The Mississippi College men's soccer team is set for an exciting 2023 season, as they revealed their 16-game schedule on Monday.
The Choctaws will open their season on the road on Thursday, August 31, at 7 p.m. CT, facing off against Florida Southern in Lakeland, FL. They will then travel to Eckerd on September 2 for a Saturday road match at 1 p.m. in St. Petersburg, FL.
After the two road matches, MC will return home for their home openers. They will have a contest against Harding on September 8 at 3:30 p.m. and close out the weekend on September 10 with a game against Ouachita Baptist at 1:30 p.m. at Robert P. Longabaugh Field.
MC will begin GSC play as they face off against West Florida on Friday, September 15, at 3:30 p.m. in Clinton, Miss. They will continue their home stand, taking on Spring Hill College on Sunday, September 17, at 3:30 p.m. CT.
MC will hit the road again for a matchup against Christian Brothers on Friday, September 22, at 7 p.m. CT, followed by a game against Union on Sunday, September 24, at 3:30 p.m. CT.
Returning back home, the Choctaws will take on Delta State on Friday, September 29, at 3:30 p.m. CT, before heading back on the road to face West Alabama on Friday, October 13, at 7 p.m. CT, and UAH in Huntsville, Ala., on Sunday, October 15, with a 3:30 p.m. CT start time.
MC will wrap up their 2023 home slate with back-to-back home matches on Friday, October 20, at 3:30 p.m. CT, against Shorter, and conclude their home contests on Sunday, October 22, at 3:30 p.m. against Lee.
In the final weekend of the season, MC will face Montevallo on Friday, October 27, at 7 p.m. CT, before capping off the regular season at AUM on Sunday, October 29, at 3:30 p.m. CT.
The Choctaws will play a total of 16 contests in 2023, with 11 GSC matchups and eight home games on the schedule.
