ARKADELPHIA, Miss. --- Mississippi College tennis split Saturday's matchups with the Lady Choctaws handling business in a 6-1 win over Henderson State, while the men fell 4-2 to Ouachita Baptist in non conference play.
MC got off to a great start on the women's side, winning the doubles point as

Fernanda Cota won court #1 6-2 before

Gabrielle Geolier defeated Kristina Kozlova/Jenna Bohnert 6-3 at #2 doubles, to take the 1-0 lead in the match.
In singles play, MC claimed courts 2-6 with
Emma Roberts winning #2 singles (7-6 (4), 6-1), #3
Fernanda Cota winning (7-5, 6-2), #4
Gabrielle Geolier (6-3, 6-1), #5
Anna Valiaeva (6-1, 6-3), and
Anna Hudson winning at #6 singles (6-3, 6-1).
On the men's side,
Rafael Sabio/
Felipe Iser defeated Exner/Blanchar at #1 doubles (6-4) but ultimately lost the doubles point to Ouachita Baptist.
Sabio defeated Hernando Docters (7-5, 6-3) at #3 singles while
Antoine Nivault took #5 singles (6-2, 6-2) over Aaron Osmond, yet OBU went on to defeat the Choctaws 4-2, taking the match win on Saturday.
The Lady Choctaws improve to 2-0 on the season with Saturday's win while the men fall back to 1-1 overall on the season.Â
