LIVINGSTON, Ala. --- In a hard-fought contest at Pruitt Hall in Livingston, Alabama, Mississippi College fell short on the road in GSC play to West Alabama by a final score of 61-40.
In a low scoring first half which saw the Tigers lead 20-17, the second half featured a low scoring outs one for the Choctaws in which they were outscored 41-23 in the final 20 minutes of play.
Rashad Bolden led the scoring effort for MC, contributing 17 points, followed by
Cam Brown with 4 points and
Eric Fleming with 4 rebounds.
Jakemin Abney finished second on the team in scoring on the night with 6 points on the night.
MC falls to an overall record of 5-5 and 4-3 in the Gulf South Conference play.
Looking ahead, the Choctaws are gearing up for their next game on Sunday against UAH in Huntsville, Alabama, scheduled for 4 PM.
