CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's basketball program has set its exhibition schedule for the 2022-23 campaign.
 
The debut of this season's squad comes on Thursday, Oct. 27 as the Choctaw travel to Baton Rouge, La., to face Louisiana State University. It is the fourth time the Navy and Gold have faced the Southeastern Conference member in exhibition play since returning to Division II. The last came on in the final exhibition game of the 2019-20 campaign. Tip-off in the Pete Maravich Center is at 7 p.m. and televised on SEC+.
 
Almost a month later, MC makes its way down US-49 to take on the University of Southern Mississippi in the final exhibition contest of the season on Oct. 30. This marks the third outing between the two Magnolia State institutions since returning to D2. Tip in the Hub City is set for is 6 p.m.
 
"We think these exhibition contests will help our program grow and prepare our squad for the upcoming, grueling Gulf South Conference schedule," said head coach Greg Long.

Mississippi College opens its regular season on Friday, Nov. 11 in the first game of the Gulf South Conference-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Crossover against LeMoyne-Owen College. Tip on the campus of Delta State University in Cleveland, Miss., is at 5:30 p.m.
