CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College Athletics and Athletic Director
Kenny Bizot announced the hiring of new Head Strength and Conditioning coach,
Brian King on Monday as released by the Mississippi College Athletic Communications office.
"I am pleased to announce the hiring of
Brian King as our new head of Strength of Conditioning here at Mississippi College" said MC Athletic Director,
Kenny Bizot.
"Brian has been apart of our Strength and Conditioning staff for the past three years and has a strong commitment to supporting student-athletes as well as a track record of helping them develop to their highest potential in all areas.
His ability to relate with our student-athletes and get the most out of them both physically and mentally is impressive. We are blessed to have Brian serve as our new Head of Sports Performance and Athletic Experience and we look forward to his considerable impact on all of our student-athletes and program here at Mississippi College."
King replaces former Head Strength Coach,
Michael Shumaker, whom he served under for the past two years in the Choctaws Strength and Conditioning program.
Brian began his strength and conditioning career at Mississippi College in 2020 working with all of Mississippi College's athletic programs.
Prior to his arrival at Mississippi College, Brian played four years at the collegiate level in football with two seasons at Hinds Community College and two seasons at Southern Miss.
While serving as Head Strength coach for the Choctaws Athletic programs, King will primarily lead the strength and conditioning efforts in football, men's and women's basketball, track and field, and cross country.
