MC Athletics Highlighted In Learfield Cup Standings

CLEVELAND --- Mississippi College continued its strong all-sport tradition by landing among the nation's top programs in the 2025-26 Learfield Directors' Cup Division II fall standings, marking the fifth consecutive fall the Choctaws have appeared in the national rankings.

MC finished No. 53 overall with 101 points, joining five other Gulf South Conference institutions listed among the 155 schools recognized following the conclusion of the fall season. The Directors' Cup measures overall athletic department success based on finishes in NCAA Championships.

The Choctaws' placement underscores the consistency and competitive depth of Mississippi College athletics, as MC once again stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the nation's top Division II programs across multiple sports during the fall semester.

Within the Gulf South Conference, West Florida led the league at No. 6 nationally with 203 points, followed by Lee (No. 27), UAH (No. 50), Mississippi College (No. 53), Montevallo (t-No. 106) and Valdosta State (t-No. 124).

The Learfield Directors' Cup is a joint program of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today, awarding points based on each institution's finish in NCAA postseason competition.

Fall standings are considered unofficial, with final Directors' Cup results to be released following the completion of the spring sports season. Complete standings and scoring information are available at directorscup.org.
