CLINTON, Miss. --- With just over a month until the start of the season, the Mississippi College volleyball team posted its 29-match, 2022 schedule on Friday, July 15.

MC looks to capitalize on the success of its 2021 slate that included with a run through the Gulf South Conference Tournament. The Choctaws reached the tournament semifinals for the first time in program history and has gained a berth in the last two conference tournaments.

A pair of tournaments lead the way into the start of the season as the Navy and Gold travels to Jackson, Tenn., for the opening weekend at the Union University Classic, Aug. 26-27. The squad returns to the road the following weekend, Sept. 2-3, with a trip to Winter Park, Fla., for the Rollins College Invitational.

A tri-match opens the Choctaws' 10-match home slate on Sept. 9, as they welcome Tougaloo College and Southern Arkansas University to campus. They open the day with a fellow Magnolia State institution at 2 p.m., before wrapping up the day against the Lady Muleriders.

MC begins GSC action on Sept. 13 as it hosts Christian Brothers University. The contest against the Lady Buccaneers is the first of 16 in conference for the Navy and Gold this season with eight on its home floor. The Navy and Gold host home-and-home series with the University of Montevallo, the University of Alabama in Huntsville, the University of West Alabama, Auburn University at Montgomery and defending GSC Champion, University of West Florida.

Valdosta State University and the University of West Georgia join CBU as other home, conference outings this season. MC is set to pay visits to Union, Lee University and Shorter University in conference play.

For the seventh season, the Choctaws are scheduled to take part in the NCAA Division South Region Crossover between the GSC and Sunshine State Conference. This year's event returns to Hoover, Ala., and the Hoover Sports Complex/Finley Center. The two-day event begins on Oct. 14.

Mississippi College opens the campaign on Friday, Aug. 26 against the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
