Schedule Change: Baseball

CLINTON, Miss. --- Due to the threat of severe weather entering the region on Tuesday, March 22, the Mississippi College baseball game at the University of Arkansas at Monticello has been moved. The two programs have rescheduled for Monday, March 21 in Monticello. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.

Monday's meeting is the first of two scheduled for this season with the Boll Weevils set for a return trip to Clinton, Miss., on Tuesday, April 26. Monday's affair marks the 31st meeting between the two squads with MC holding an 18-13 advantage despite dropping the last two in the series. The Choctaws have won the last three contests at UAM.

The Navy and Gold are coming off a week where it won three of five contests, including a Gulf South Conference series over Lee (Tenn.) University during the weekend. It also grabbed a 1-0 at No. 16 Henderson State University earlier in the week to go along with the two conference victories over the Flames.

Mississippi College returns to GSC action on Saturday, March 26 as it hosts 21st-ranked Valdosta State University over the weekend. Saturday's doubleheader is set to start at 2 p.m. with the series finale marked for Sunday, March 27. First pitch on Sunday is slotted for 1 p.m. Along with the twinbill on Saturday, former Choctaw baseball players, coaches and staff are invited back to campus for MC Baseball Alumni Day, which includes lunch at Dickins-Scoper Stadium, Frierson Field prior to the contests. Lunch is scheduled for Noon.
