CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College senior Brandon Boston has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division II All-South District Team, it was announced on Monday (Mar. 22).

Boston (Pearl, Miss.) was named to the Gulf South Conference All-West Division First Team after leading the entire conference in scoring (20.3 ppg) in the 2020-21 campaign. The four-year starter scored in double-figures in every game, including putting up at least 20 in 4-of-8 contests.

He became the 18th player in MC Men's Basketball history to score over 1,000 points, pouring in 1,096 career points to sit in the top 20 in Choctaw history. He has posted a 52% field goal percentage and is shooting over 74% from the free throw line.

Boston scored a season-high 27 points against West Alabama (01.13.21) and tallied a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Union (01.23.21).

The former Pearl HS standout scored a career-high 32 points in a victory over Lee in his sophomore season (01.20.18).

The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced on Monday (Mar. 22) the 2020 NABC Coaches' Division II All-District teams and coaches, recognizing the best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes and coaches in the division. Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division II, these 89 student-athletes represent the finest basketball players across America.

About the National Association of Basketball Coaches Located in Kansas City, MO, the NABC was founded in 1927 by Forrest "Phog" Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas. Allen, a student of James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, organized coaches into this collective group to serve as Guardians of the Game. The NABC currently has nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men's basketball coaches. All members of the NABC are expected to uphold the core values of being a Guardian of the Game by bringing attention to the positive aspects of the sport of basketball and the role coaches play in the academic and athletic lives of today's student-athletes.
