WINTER HAVEN, Fla. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team concluded the NCAA Division II South Region Crossover with a straight-sets loss to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on Saturday, Oct. 23 inside the AdventHealth Fieldhouse. MC moves to 5-12 on the season while ERAU improved to 17-4.

Six different Choctaws registered a kill in the match led by a trio scoring five each.
Sloane FitzHenry posted a .364 attack clip en route to her five kills. Lexi Rchards and
Stevie Nesbit each joined the Houston, Texas, native at the top of the team in kills.
Levi Lennard and
Ingrid Savola directed the ship with 11 and 10 assists respectively.

Missy Beber and Nesbit led the defensive charge in the contest. Beber notched a team-best 14 digs while Nesbit recorded five blocks.

After falling behind 2-0, the Navy and Gold looked to extend the match in the third set as it held an 8-4 lead early, but the Eagles rallied to tie the contest at 11-all and then built to a 21-17 advantage late. MC scored four of the final six points, but couldn't overcome the deficit as ERAU claimed the match-clinching set 25-22.

Mississippi College returns to action on Friday, Oct. 29 as it hosts Shorter University. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
