JACKSON, Tenn. --- The Mississippi College women's basketball team fell 81-62 at Union (Tenn.) University on Friday evening inside Fred DeLay Gymnasium. MC moved to 3-2 on the season while the Lady Bulldogs improved to 7-2.

The Lady Choctaws were led in scoring by
Kyiah Julian with a career-high 20 points.
Jay Levy tied a career-high with 16 points and
NeNe Williams poured in 11 points.
Mikeba Jones grabbed a team-best nine rebounds and tied her season-high.

MC shot 38.3 percent from the field, including going 6-for-20 from behind the arc, and connected on 71.4 percent from the free throw line. The team grabbed 36 rebounds.

Jaelencia Williams paced the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with 21 points. Shanique Lucas added 19 points Jordan Little supplied 15 while Emily Beard rounded out the quartet in double figures with 10 points. Williams, Lucas and Selale Kepenc tied for tops on the team with five boards each.

UU shot 54.4 percent from the floor and 9-of-23 from the 3-point line. The Red and White hit 10-of-14 from the charity stripe and totaled 32 boards.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Union held a 21-16 lead after the first 10 minutes of action and swelled its advantage to 34-24 with 5:14 left before the half, the Lady Bulldogs' first double-digit lead of the game.
- UU expanded its margin to as many as 20 points, twice during the contest, and held a 47-27 lead at the break.
- The Lady Bulldogs grabbed their largest lead of the game, 22 points, at the 9:41 mark of the third quarter.

- Julian's career-high surpassed her previous total of 13 points against Crowley's Ridge on Dec. 3, 2019 while she played at Arkansas-Monticello.
