GAME 1: Mississippi College 5 | Quincy 9
DATE: Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020
LOCATION: Clinton, Miss. | Frierson Field
RECORDS: Choctaws 6-4 | Hawks 3-1

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MC scored a run in the bottom of the first, fourth and seventh innings only to have the Hawks answer in the top of the following frame to place the two teams tied at 3-all through the first nine innings of play. Ken Scott and Lee each connected on a solo home run during the stretch as Logan McGrew supplied a RBI-single in the fourth to account for the three runs through the nine innings.
- The Choctaws had an opportunity in the bottom of the 10th to grab the victory. Barber led off the inning with a single and moved around to third on a single from George Farid with one down. After Farid swiped second, the duo stood in scoring position with two outs, but the Navy and Gold couldn't find the key hit as they were both left stranded.
- QU took advantage of the situation as it collected six runs in the top of the 11th to grab a 9-3 advantage. MC made things interesting in the bottom of the frame as it loaded the bases with no outs, but managed just two runs as the contest ended on a 6-4-3 double play, leaving a pair stranded on the bases.

DATE: Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020
LOCATION: Clinton, Miss. | Frierson Field
RECORDS: Choctaws 6-5 | Hawks 4-1

HOW IT HAPPENED

- The Hawks took their first lead of the game behind their second, six-run inning of the day in the top of the fifth. QU sent 10 batters to the plate in the frame and collected five and capitalized on one error to the big inning.
- The Choctaws loaded the bases in the bottom of the fifth with two down, but came away with just a run as it left three stranded on the bags. Following Page and Samuel Kimel each moving into scoring position on a wild pitch, Lee drew a walk to load the bases, but a line-drive, double play ended the threat with the bases juiced.
