CLINTON, Miss. --- The 2019 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-Region teams were announced on Wednesday, May 29, and Mississippi College's
Blaine Crim grabbed his third all-South region accolade of the season as he was tabbed first team first baseman.

The Mobile, Ala., native, which was a member of the ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region Second Team last season, was named to the NCBWA and D2CCA All-South Region First Teams earlier this month.

Among the list of accolades this season, Crim was named to the Gulf South Conference's Commissioner's Trophy Top 10 on Tuesday, May 28 with the Commissioner's Trophy winner set to be announced on Thursday, May 30.

Crim concluded his four-year career as the program's career hits (250), doubles (55), at-bats (714) and games played (189) leader while his 21 doubles this season place him as the single-season doubles record holder. He was named the GSC Player of the Year and nabbed All-GSC First Team laurels. He also sits second in career runs (35), home runs (35), RBI (196) and total bases (418). He finished the 2019 campaign ranked in the top 10 in the conference in seven offensive categories, including the conference leader in doubles, and led the Choctaws in nine categories.

ABCA/Rawlings All-Region first-team selections are nominated for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors. The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. II All-Americans will be announced the evening of Friday, May 31. The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams for all divisions will be announced Wednesday, June 19.

The ABCA All-America team was first recognized in 1949 and now includes nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II and III, Pacific Association Division, and high school. ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were first recognized in 2007.

The Chair of the ABCA NCAA Div. II All-America & Coach of the Year Committee is Rudy Garbalosa of Lynn University. Also on the committee are Randy Betten (Cal Poly Pomona), Jamie Detillion (Grand Valley State University), Jim Gantt (Catawba College), Rick Giannetti (Dominican College), Matt Jones (Shippensburg University), Rob Penders (St. Edward's University) and Kyle Poock (Winona State University).

The ABCA, founded in 1945, is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level. It's over 11,000 members represent all 50 states and 25 countries. Since its initial meeting of 27 college baseball coaches in June 1945, Association membership has broadened to include eight divisions: NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA, Pacific Association Division, High School and Youth. The 76th annual ABCA Convention will be held Jan. 2-5, 2020 in Nashville, Tennessee.
