KINGSVILLE, Texas --- Mississippi College's
Tytavia Hardy posted a school record in the women's long jump as she finished 13th at the NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships on the campus of Texas A&M University at Kingsville.

Hardy posted a distance of 19'6.25" in the event – a personal best. She bested her previous record 19'5.5" set at the Mississippi College Twilight Invitational.

The Pensacola, Fla., native broke the school record of 19'5.5" set by
Kiana Grant in 2016.

Hardy finished second among four freshmen in the event. Only Missouri Southern University's Claire Luallen posted a better distance among the freshmen as she jumped 19'10.25" to finish seventh.

Hardy returns to competition on Saturday, May 25 as she competes in the women's triple jump. Event time is scheduled for 4:45 p.m. central
