CLINTON, Miss. --- The 13th-ranked Mississippi College baseball team fell 6-4 on Senior Day to lose the series against in-state and Gulf South Conference foe, Delta State University. The Choctaws become the two seed in the GSC Tournament and face the seventh seed University of West Georgia on Friday, May 3. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Ala.

Blaine Crim and
Luke Yancey led the team at the plate with multiple hits and a RBI each in the contest.
Payton Yawn paced the squad driving in two runs.
Tim Holloway (1-2) suffered the loss on the mound with three innings in relief. Holloway allowed an unearned run on five hits with three walks and two strikeouts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mississippi College sent nine batters to the plate as it plastered four runs in the bottom of the third to take the early lead.
- Dylan Duplechain led off the inning with an infield single and later moved around to score on a Blaine Crim double down the right field line. Two batters later, Brandon Broussard loaded the bases as he drew a walk.
- Yawn increased the lead with a two-run, single to left center that plated Crim and Grant Barber. Yancey rounded out the scoring with a RBI single that scored Broussard.
- Delta State responded in the top of the fourth as it clipped the lead in half with a pair of runs and tied the contest in the top of the sixth. The Statesmen loaded the bases and pushed both runs across on a hit by pitch and walk.
- The Green and White took its first lead of the game in the seventh as a Josh Russell single and two-base fielding error allowed the go-ahead run to score.
- DSU added an insurance run in the top of the ninth as David Herrington drove in Hayden White with a single to right field.

- Garrett Hollinghead allowed four runs on four hits in two innings of relief with a strikeout.
