PENSACOLA, Fla. --- The No. 20 Mississippi College baseball team dropped a doubleheader at the University of West Florida on Saturday, March 2 at Jim Spooner Field. MC had its rally in the opening game fall short 10-8 and closed out the series with a 5-1 setback.

Blaine Crim led the Choctaws at the plate with four hits on the day, including three in the opening game of the twinbill. The Mobile, Ala., senior also paced the squad with four RBI.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- West Florida scored all 10 of its runs in its first four trips the plate and held a 10-1 lead through five frames.
- Blaine Crim plated the second run with a home run to left center in the sixth.
- The Choctaws recorded four straight hits to open the eighth as Crim and Callier added RBI hits during the stretch. Calliere became the fourth run of the frame as he scored on a ground out.
- MC loaded the bases with one out and Crim drove in his third run of the game with a sacrifice fly to left field. The Choctaws final run came as Callier drove in Barber.

ON THE MOUND
- Garrett Hollinghead (3-1) took the loss on the mound as he pitched three innings allowing nine runs – five earned – on eight hits with two walks and a strikeout.
- Dustan Dille tossed 4.2 frames in relief. Dille allowed one run on one hit as he worked around five walks with a pair of strikeouts.
- Tim Holloway tossed the final third of the inning.

- West Florida plated three runs in its first two at-bats, including a pair in the first inning.
- Mississippi College picked up its only run in the third inning as Crim singled through the right side to score Dylan Duplechain, who led off the inning with a walk.
- The Argos added an insurance run in the fifth and another in the sixth.
