CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College placed five players in double figures and dominated points in the paint as the Lady Choctaws snapped its nine-game skid with a 90-65 win on Wednesday, Feb. 20 inside A.E. Wood Coliseum.

Zariah Matthews led MC with 18 points.
Coco Hobson posted her fourth double-double of the season with 17 points and 15 rebounds.
Lindsey Vaughn joined Hobson in scoring as she notched a season-high.
Jamilah Sanders added 15 while
Moriah Hurst supplied 12 points. MC shot 47.8 percent from the field and connected on 23 of 28 from the free throw line.

Tatum Ragsdale led Shorter with 17 points. Raven Fair added 13 with 12 coming from Jasmine Gaines. Jamila Harrison paced the Hawks on the boards with seven rebounds. SU shot 32.8 percent from the floor, including a clip of 33.3 from behind the arc, and was 12-for-13 from the charity stripe.

TURNING POINT
- Matthews drained a 3-pointer with 2:27 in the third quarter to place the Lady Choctaws up 57-45. The double figure lead was the first since the 3:16 mark in the opening half. MC never relinquished the double-digit lead the remainder of the way.

INSIDE THE BOX
- The Navy and Gold picked up 52 of 90 points from inside the paint while Shorter tallied 18 points.
- MC outscored Shorter 54-34 in the second half.
- The game marked just the third time that MC had five players score in double figures in a game. The Lady Choctaws are 2-1 when accomplishing that feat.
- Mississippi College grabbed its largest lead of the game of 27 points with 1:55 left in the game.
- The scoring total tied a season-high. The mark was set on Jan. 17 at Christian Brothers in a seven-point victory.
