CLINTON, Miss. --- The No. 18 Mississippi College baseball team routed Lindenwood (Mo.) University in a doubleheader on Sunday, Feb. 10. The Choctaws blasted LWU 15-2 in the opening game and blanked the Lions 10-0 in the night cap.

Nine Choctaws recorded hits in the twinbill, including eight with multiple hits on the day.
Blaine Crim led the team with five hits during the two contests, including a pair of home runs, along with four RBI.
Ty Alderman finished the day with a team-best six RBI on the afternoon.

Zack Ingram and
Garrett Hollinghead both improved to 2-0 on the mound this season. Ingram tossed 6.1 scoreless frames and matched a career-high with nine strikeouts. Hollinghead fanned six in six innings in his start and allowed just one earned run.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mississippi College took control early in the opening game of the day as it scored 11 of its 15 runs in the first two innings, including a seven spot in the second inning.
- Chauncey Callier and Alderman headlined the second frame. Callier drove in a pair with a single down the left field line and Alderman followed with a three-run home run to cap the scoring in the inning.
- After, Alderman and Luke Yancey picked up RBI in the fifth, Crim hit his first home run of the season – a two-run shot to left field in the sixth.
- The Lions garnered their only two runs in the top of the sixth off a bases loaded walk and Alex Gauspohl RBI-single.
ON THE MOUND
- Hollinghead allowed seven hits in the 26 batters he faced and forced five fly outs and six ground outs.
- Brandon Kennedy tossed the final frame in relief and logged one strikeout.

- The Choctaws opened the scoring early in the second game as Crim hit a solo home run in the first inning. MC followed with four runs in the bottom of the second as it capitalized on three Lions' errors.
- After Alderman and Parker Haberstroh tallied RBI in the fifth, Billy Cameron blasted a two-run home run in the sixth and Luke Yancey added a RBI double to close out the scoring.
ON THE MOUND
- Ingram allowed just four base runners in the start and forced four fly outs and seven ground outs.
- Tommy Taborda struck out two and walked one in two-thirds of an inning in relief.
NOTEABLES
- With the two wins, Mississippi College has tied the series record against Lindenwood at 5-5.
- Crim moved to third on the career home run list with 26.
- Ingram's nine strikeouts matched his total against West Alabama on April 21, 2018.
