Baseball to Host Inaugural First Pitch Dinner

CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College baseball program will start its upcoming 2020 season with the inaugural First Pitch Dinner scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 28. The evening, which is open to the public, will feature World Series Champion and former Kansas City Royal skipper, Ned Yost, and dinner. The First Pitch Dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a VIP reception with the keynote speaker. The dinner program beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event will take place on the second floor of Anderson Hall. Dress for the event is business casual.

"We are very excited to launch our first, First Pitch Dinner this year to start the 2020 season," said Choctaw head coach Jeremy Haworth. "We are pleased to have former Kansas City Royals manager and World Series Champion, Ned Yost, as our speaker this year. We look forward to introducing the team and sharing the baseball program's vision."

The First Pitch Dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a VIP reception with the keynote speaker. The dinner program beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event will take place on the second floor of Anderson Hall.

2020 SEASON OPENER
The Choctaws open the 2020 season Feb. 1-2 at Frierson Field at Dickins-Scoper Stadium against Harding University. First pitch of Saturday's doubleheader is set for 1:00 p.m. with 1:00 p.m. start on Sunday against the Bisons to wrap up the three-game series.
 
FRIERSON FIELD RENOVATIONS
Frierson Field has experienced some recent renovations. Among the renovations to the ballpark are Rice Fieldhouse, new batter's eye, brick back stop, stadium wind screen wrap, Dickins-Scoper Stadium entrance, Circle of Champions, home and visitor dugouts, and the newest additions to the playing surface in the outfield and turf infield.
