CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College's Evan Del Rio will represent the Choctaw cross country team on Saturday, Nov. 23 as it competes for a national championship at the NCAA Division II National Championships in Sacramento, Calif. Race time is set for 1:15 p.m. central.

Del Rio is one of 350 men's runners competing for the individual title this season and one of two individual participants from the Gulf South Conference in the event.

The Huntsville, Texas, native qualified for the championships as he finished second at the GSC Championships with a time of 25:11.71 and an All-GSC First Team honor as well. Del Rio has placed inside the top 15 in every race this season and in the top five in all, but two.
