"Choctaw Madness" Scheduled for Thursday, October 17th

CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College and Clinton communities are invited to celebrate the start of the 2019-20 men's and women's basketball seasons at "Choctaw Madness", which will be held on Thursday, October 17th in A.E. Wood Coliseum.

The event is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. with the basketball teams being introduced to the fans. The MC Cheerleaders will be on hand to entertain the crowd, and MC students will compete in contests with winners taking home prizes from local Clinton businesses.

The women's basketball team will compete in a three-point exhibition for the crowd, while the men's team will have a three-point and dunk contest.

Following the event, the men's and women's basketball teams will serve brownies and ice cream to all fans in attendance.

The Choctaws and Lady Choctaws open the 2019-20 regular season on Friday, November 8th when they host Belhaven. Tip-off in A.E. Wood Coliseum for the women is 6:00 p.m. with the men's game to follow.
 

Mississippi College is a private Christian university located in Clinton, Mississippi with an enrollment of over 5,000 students. MC recently finished their transition process back to NCAA Division II and the Gulf South Conference and began competing for conference and national championships in the 2016-17 academic year.
