CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team fell in straight sets on Saturday, Oct. 12 in Gulf South Conference action to the University of West Georgia.
 
Jamie Boros led the Choctaws with seven kills while 
Lexi Richards and 
Kate Bass each tallied five. 
Lexie Laurendine led the team with 12 assists.
 
Defensively, 
Julia Martin paced the squad with 14 digs as 
Brandi Bundy added 10. Bass also added a team-best three blocks.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Leading 14-12 in the opening set, the Wolves grabbed a 20-14 advantage and never looked back en route to a 25-18 win.
The Choctaws held an 11-9 lead, but witnessed the Red and Blue score the next eight, straight points to take a 17-11. MC broke serve on a Richards' kill, however, the Wolves responded with an 8-0 run to close out the set with a 25-12 victory.
MC trailed 12-11 in the third, but the Wolves closed the set on a 10-3 run to claim the match-clinching set, 25-14.
 
INSIDE THE BOX
West Georgia has claimed four of the last five in the series and hold a 7-6 lead.
