Tucson, Ariz. --- The Mississippi College baseball team was well represented in the Collegiate Baseball Preseason Publication.
Blaine Crim and
Billy Cameron were recognized by Collegiate Baseball's preseason publication as top returning players from the South Region while
Chauncey Callier was tabbed among the newcomers to watch.

Crim was named a preseason all-American by the publication while Cameron was tabbed among the players to watch in the region.

Crim finished the 2018 season as an ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region selection, an All-Gulf South Conference selection, GSC Most Outstanding Player in the GSC Tournament and a Google Cloud Academic All-American. The Mobile, Ala., native led the Choctaws in batting average, slugging percentage, hits, runs batted in, home runs and total bases during the 2018 campaign. Crim also registered in the top five in runs, doubles, triples and walks.

Cameron was also tabbed an all-conference selection and named to the all-tournament team. The Mendenhall, Miss., product ranked second on the team in batting average, RBI, home runs and total bases and listed in the top five in slugging percentage, runs, hits and doubles last season.

Callier comes to Clinton after playing at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College. The Mobile, Ala., native hit .350 for the Saints during his two seasons and compiled 16 doubles, four triples and 13 home runs. Callier prepped at UMS-Wright Preparatory School for Kevin Raley and hit .621 with 15 doubles, a triple and three home runs.

After winning the 2018 Gulf South Conference Championship and earning a berth in the NCAA Division II South Regional in Lakeland, Fla., the Choctaws received votes in the Collegiate Baseball Preseason Poll.
Mississippi College opens the 2019 campaign on Saturday, Feb. 2 as it travels to Searcy, Ark., to face Harding University.
Mississippi College is a private Christian university located in Clinton, Mississippi with an enrollment of over 5,000 students. MC recently finished their transition process back to NCAA Division II and the Gulf South Conference and will be competing for conference and national championships in the 2018-19 academic year.
