LIVINGSTON, Ala.  – The Mississippi College volleyball team opened Gulf South Conference play with a straight sets lost at the University of West Alabama on Tuesday, Sept. 11. MC stands at 5-6 overall and 0-1 in the conference while the Tigers improve to 7-3 on the campaign and 1-0 in the league.

TURNING POINT
After a tightly contested opening set that saw West Alabama rattle off the final four points, after the Choctaws held a 23-21 lead, the Tigers opened the second set with a 10-6 run en route to a 25-17 win and a 2-0 lead in the match.

Kendall Platt led the Choctaws with eight kills on the night.

Autumn Frost picked up two more blocks to continue her drive to 100 career blocks.
