CLINTON, Miss. – Despite a great effort, the Mississippi College volleyball team came up on the short end as it fell in three sets (25-19, 25-19, 25-22) against the 10th ranked University of West Florida on Friday, Sept. 14 at A.E. Wood Coliseum.

TURNING POINT
- After a late scoring rally helped West Florida escape with an opening set victory, the Argos held as much as a seven-point in the advantage in the second en route to a 25-19 win and 2-0 lead in the match. Mississippi College staved off set-point on three different rallies in the game to close the gap. The Choctaws tried to extend the match to a fourth set as trailed by one point on two different occasions late, but couldn't overcome UWF.

- Freshman Jamie Boros recorded her sixth match in double figures during her debut season.
- Freshman Rylee Markham registered her eight match this season leading the Choctaws with assists.
- Senior Jill Brown recorded her 10th contest in double-digit digs.
- Sophomore Hannah Rue recorded a career-high in digs. She surpassed her previous best of three.
- First match against nationally-ranked opponent this season.
