Lady Choctaws Topped by #3 West Florida in GSC Finals, 5-1

MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- The Mississippi College women's tennis team fell 5-1 to the number-three ranked Argonauts of the University of West Florida in the Championship match of the Gulf South Conference Women's Tennis Championship on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Lady Choctaws record now sits at 20-2 for the year.
 
In doubles, Brenna Keller/AnneMarie Kimball defeated Ines Nicault and Lais Bicca 8-3 in the number one flight to grab the Lady Choctaws lone point on the day.
 
Nicole Bueno (6-0, 6-3), Sofia Gonzalez-Carrera (6-3, 6-0) and AnneMarie Kimball (6-1, 6-4) all fell in straight sets in singles.
 
The Lady Choctaws fate will be determined early next week, when the NCAA announces the field for their post-season tournament on Tuesday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m.
