PENSACOLA, Fla. --- The Mississippi College women's tennis team saw their 2018 season come to a close with a 5-1 loss to the number three ranked Argonauts of West Florida on Saturday afternoon in round one of the NCAA South Regional Two Championship. The Lady Choctaws finish out the season at 20-3 overall.
In doubles action,
Brenna Keller and
AnneMarie Kimball grabbed the Lady Choctaws lone point, knocking off Ines Nicault and Valeria Mantilla 8-2. In the number three flight,
Sofia Gonzalez-Carrera and
RebeccaGrace Kimball fell 8-1 to Jordana Lujan and Samantha Echevarria.
In the number two flight,
Aneta Golawska and
Tori Roberts dropped a hard-fought matchup with Paula Coyos and Diana Vlad, 8-6. The duo erased a 7-2 deficit to come back within one game, but saw their comeback effort come up just short.
