CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College baseball team overcame a 3-0 deficit to pick up a 7-3 nonconference win over the Reddies of Henderson State University on Tuesday. With the win, the Choctaws improved to 18-4 overall.

TURNING POINT
- After going up 4-3 for their first lead of the game in the 6th inning, the Choctaws added a trio of insurance runs in the 7th, courtesy of a two-run triple from Brandon Broussard and an RBI groundout from Hunter Sykes. The three-run inning gave the Choctaws enough momentum to put the Reddies away for the 7-3 win.

- Caleb Carr (0-1) took the loss for Henderson State, allowing two earned over one inning of work.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- MC cut their deficit to 3-2 in the bottom half of the 5th, on a pair of sacrifice flies from Grant Barber and Billy Cameron.
- The Choctaws would go on to take the lead in the 6th, on an RBI groundout from Kyle Smith that plated Alderman. Alderman delivered the game-tying hit just two at-bats prior to smith, with a double to left field that plated Yancey.
