CARROLLTON, Ga. --- The Mississippi College baseball team claimed its eighth straight win of the season with a 7-3 victory at the ninth-ranked University of West Georgia. MC improved to 9-1 on the season and 1-0 in Gulf South Conference action. The Wolves fell to 10-2 and 0-1 in the league.

Turning Point
Billy Cameron hit a three-run homerun over the left center field wall in the fifth. The homer placed MC up 5-2 in the game and helped secure the conference-opening victory.

- Five Choctaws recorded multiple hits in the game led by Blaine Crim's 3-for-5 performance. Kyle Smith, Hunter Wilson, Cameron and Brandon Broussard each tallied a pair of hits.
- Cameron notched a team-best four RBI in the game.
- Chris Crosby picked up the decision on the mound in the start with 6.0 innings of work. Crosby allowed two runs – one earned – on eight hits with three strikeouts and a walk.

- Mississippi College jumped on the board in the second inning with a pair of runs, but the Wolves clipped the lead in half with a run in the bottom of the frame.
- After Christopher Michals tied the game in the bottom of the third, Cameron lifted his homerun to place MC up by three runs.
- Cameron drove in another run in the bottom of the seventh and later scored on a throwing error to increase the lead to 7-2.
- The Choctaws hit .450 with two outs in the game and posted four, two-out RBI.
