MONTICELLO, Ark. --- The Mississippi College baseball team extended its win streak to seven games as it rallied to top the University of Arkansas at Monticello, 11-8, at Weevil Field on the campus of UAM. MC improved to 8-1 on the season while the Weevils fall to 7-3.

- The trio of Hunter Wilson, Billy Cameron and Hunter Sykes each collected a pair of hits to lead MC at the plate.
- Grant Barber and Cameron paced the squad with three RBI each while Sykes and Duplechain each drove in two runs.
- Ryan Lane pitched the final 1.2 frames to claim the win on the mound. Lane allowed one run on two hits with a pair of strikeouts.
- Cameron hit his second homerun of the season in the fourth inning.

- Mississippi College rallied twice in the game before taking the lead in the top of the ninth on a Grant Barber triple that plated three runs.
- The Choctaws trailed 4-0 early, but drew even for the first time in the sixth inning as Brandon Broussard scored on a wild pitch following a Sykes RBI single earlier in the frame.
- UAM responded with two runs in the seventh and added two more in the eighth to take an 8-4 lead into the final at-bat for the Choctaws.
- Cameron started the scoring for the Navy and Gold with a two-run, double to left center - his third RBI of the game – to pull MC within two runs.
- The Choctaws hit .462 with two outs and posted a clip of .455 with runners in scoring position.

First pitch of the Saturday, Feb. 24 doubleheader against the University of West Georgia is set for 12 p.m. central. The series finale is slated for Sunday, Feb. 25 at 12 p.m. central.
