CLINTON, Miss. – The Mississippi College volleyball team swept the University of West Georgia on Friday, Nov. 2 at A.E. Wood Coliseum. The win avenged a four-set setback in Carrollton, Ga., earlier this season and snapped a three-match skid against the Wolves.
A pair of Choctaws posted double figures in kills in the straight sets victory as
Lexie Laurendine posted her fourth triple-double of the season. Laurendine and fellow freshman
Kendall Platt tallied 11 kills each. Laurendine added a team-best 23 assists and 13 digs. The double-digit kills mark the 19th time this season that Platt has reached 10-plus kills and the fifth for Laurendine this season.
Julia Martin led the team with 15 digs while Brown tied Laurendine for second on the team.
Autumn Frost and
Hannah Rue defended the net for the Navy and Gold. Frost finished with four blocks while Rue chimed in three.
