PENSACOLA, Fla. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team fell in straight sets (25-11, 25-18, 25-19) at the 19th-ranked University of West Florida. The marks a season sweep for the Argonauts over the Navy and Gold this season.

Kendall Platt,
Jamie Boros and
Lexie Laurendine led the Choctaws offensively. Platt and Boros paced the squad with seven kills each while Laurendine dished out a team-leading 12 assists. Senior
Jill Brown led MC defensively with 11 digs followed by Platt with 10 and two blocks.
Shelby Grace Mays added a pair of blocks.

TURNING POINT
After Mays tied the second set at 11-all, the Argonauts went on a 7-0 run take control of the set. Phoebe Hozeska and Makila York each recorded a kill during the scoring spurt along with attack miscues by the Choctaws.

- Sophomore Autumn Frost garnered her 200th career kill in the match with four kills. The Largo, Fla., native is sixth in total blocks in a season and five away from the top five in a single-season.
- Brown moves to fourth in career digs with 766.

Mississippi College returns to action on Friday, Nov. 2 as it hosts the University of West Georgia at 6 p.m. The Choctaws close out the 2018 campaign on Saturday, Nov. 3 against Valdosta State University. First serve against the Blazers is set for 12 p.m.
