MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Mississippi College volleyball team fell in straight sets to Auburn University at Montgomery on Friday, Oct. 26 at the AUM Athletics Complex. The Choctaws battled AUM through the first two sets, despite falling 25-22 and 25-23. AUM clinched the match with a 25-19 victory in the third set.

Kendall Platt recorded her seventh, double-double of the season as she led the Choctaws with 13 kills and 13 digs in the three sets. Freshman
Lexie Laurendine paced the Navy and Gold with 22 assists.

TURNING POINT
Clinging to an 8-7 lead in the third set, Auburn Montgomery went on a 7-1 run to expand its lead en route to the six-point, matching-clinching win. The Choctaws attempted to rally late holding off match-point for four points, but an Alexandria Henry kill ended the set and clinched the match.

- Platt's double-double total leads the team this season.
- With a pair of blocks in the match, sophomore Autumn Frost moved into sixth in total blocks in a single-season as she matched Natalie Phelan with 85. Frost stands six rejections shy of moving into the top five.
- With her 10 digs in the match, senior Jill Brown moved to third in single-season digs with 482 and sixth with 755 in her career. The Elkhart, Ind., native is four digs shy of cracking the top five in program history.
