CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College placed four players in double figures, but fell 62-59 against the University of West Florida in Gulf South Conference action. MC moves to 4-15 on the season and 1-14 in GSC action while UWF improved to 14-7 and 9-7 in the league.

KEY STATS
- Brandon Boston provided a double-double to lead the Choctaws. Boston scored 10 points and added a team-best 11 rebounds for his first career double-double. The 11 boards marks a season-best for the Pearl, Miss., native.
- Antonio Johnson and Stacey Mack tied for tops on the team with 12 points each while DeOndre Haynes added 10 points round out the quartet in double-digits.
- West Florida was led by Darryl Tucker with 15 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mississippi College led most of the way in the first half. The Choctaws held as much as a 13-point lead, 27-14, with 8:37 left before the half thanks to a Mack 3-pointer. However, West Florida responded with a 13-5 run to close the half and pull within 32-27 at the intermission.
- West Florida opened the second stanza on a 7-2 run to deadlock the contest at 34-all with 16:24 left to play on a Rashaan Benson steal and layup.
- A Tucker dunk put the Argos up 47-41 with 9:12 left in the game after the two teams exchanged leads following the deadlock at 34-34.
- The Choctaws nipped away the UWF lead and finally forced a 56-all tie with 2:31 left to play on a Boston jumper.
- West Florida regained the advantage and held a 60-56 lead with just over a minute to play, but the Choctaws clipped the lead to 60-59 on a Xavion Dillon free throw and layup from Hayes with 50 seconds left to play.
- MC took a shot at the win, but Otis Harvey saw his 3-pointer rattle off the rim with seven seconds left.
