ARKADELPHIA, Ark. --- The Mississippi College men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to the Bison of Harding University on Friday afternoon in day two of the Ouachita Baptist Tournament. With the loss, the Choctaw's record falls to 1-2 on the year.
Unable to acquire a point in doubles,
Marcos Rocca and
Petar Damjanovic came the closest for the Choctaws, dropping a 9-8 decision with a 7-5 tiebreaker to Carlos Cristomo and AJ Barrington.
Rocca would go on to pick up MC's first point of the afternoon in singles play, knocking off Barrington in three sets (4-6, 6-2, 6-2).
Max Nilges picked up the Choctaws second point in singles, needing three sets to best Brandon Hogland (6-4, 6-7, 10-6).
The Choctaws will wrap up play in the final day of the tournament tomorrow morning, when they face off against #19 ranked Southwest Baptist University. Match time is scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
