BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- Senior
Antonio Johnson scored a game-high 19 points in a 90-53 exhibition loss to UAB on Sunday afternoon at Bartow Arena.
The Choctaws (2-2) have now split a pair of exhibition games, defeating William Carey on November 18th (80-77). The Blazers improved to 4-3 on the season, snapping a three-game losing streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UAB jumped out to a quick 10-0 lead and took a commanding 52-16 advantage into the halftime break, shooting 61% (19-of-31) from the floor.
- MC would open the second half on a 12-4 run and cut the lead to 66-43 with 9:36 remaining on a jumper by junior
Guy Johnson.
- It would be the closest the Choctaws would get the rest of the way as UAB pulled away for the win.

KEY STATS
- The Choctaws shot just 24% (7-of-29) from the field in the first half on their way to the big halftime deficit.
- MC would shoot 44% (15-of-34) from the floor in the second half but would only attempt four free throws in the entire contest.
- The Choctaws were outrebounded 48-23 but turned the ball over just five times in the second half and 16 times in the contest.

- William Lee led the Blazers with 18 points and 10 rebounds, going 7-of-11 from the floor with a game-high five blocked shots.
- UAB shot 53% (32-of-61) from the floor and went 21-of-25 from the foul line.
- The Blazers put five players in double-figure scoring as Lewis Sullivan had 17 points and Zack Bryant added 14.
