DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. --- The Mississippi College men's basketball team wrapped up the Daytona Mitsubishi/Kia Shootout with a 101-87 loss to Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday afternoon at the ICI Center.
The Choctaws dropped to 0-2 on the season, while the Sailfish are now 3-2 on the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Choctaws got off to a solid start and after a layup by junior
Leito Holloway with 9:55 remaining in the first half, MC staked claim to a 20-16 advantage.
- The Sailfish answered with a 10-0 run over the next 2:35 to take a 26-20 lead and they would not trail the rest of the way.
- PBA would eventually take a 45-36 lead into the halftime break.
- The Sailfish would grab their largest lead of the game at 25 points with 11:25 remaining in the game, but a 12-2 run by the Choctaws cut the score to just 80-65.
- PBA would hold off a late charge by MC that saw them score nine points in less than a minute, and the Sailfish would go on to get the 14-point win.

Stacey Mack tied a career-high with 23 points, going 11-of-17 from the field with four rebounds.
- Senior
Antonio Johnson scored 15 second-half points, hitting 5-of-7 three-pointers in the game to score 17.

Isaiah Austin scored 11 points with a team-high seven rebounds, while freshman
Dyllan Taylor scored 10 points in his second collegiate game.

Brandon Boston each had a team-high five assists.
- The Choctaws shot 50% (34-of-68) from the field and went 10-of-12 from the free throw line.
- The Sailfish shot 52% (34-of-65) from the floor and went 25-of-29 from the charity stripe.
- Jules Jasmin led the team with 20 points, while five different Sailfish scored in double-figures.
- Jasmin and Lucas Morales each had a team-high nine rebounds.

NEXT UP
- The Choctaws will be back on the road Tuesday (Nov. 14) to face Southern-New Orleans at 7:00 p.m. The first home game of the season is Saturday (Nov. 18) at 4:00 p.m. when they host William Carey for an exhibition game.
