Tavaras Tolliver led UNA with 26 points, going 10-of-17 from the field, while Dimario Jackson had 18 points. Johnell Ginnie came off the bench to score 12 with a team-high nine rebounds.

- This will be the 38th all-time meeting between the two schools with UNA holding a 28-19 edge in the series. Since re-joining the GSC in 2014-15, the Choctaws are 3-1 with the road teams winning both games last season. In Clinton, MC could not overcome a 12-point halftime deficit in a 73-68 loss to the Lions.

Antonio Johnson (14.7 ppg) is the team's leading scorer and ranks 2nd in the GSC in three-pointers made per game (2.9) and 4th in three-point percentage (.438). Haynes (12.8 ppg) ranks 6th in the league in assists per game (4.2) and 11th in steals per game (1.4).
- Mack (11.1 ppg) has scored in double-figures in each of the last four games, including a season-high 22 points with 16 rebounds in the win over West Georgia on Monday night. Sophomore
Xavion Dillon (11.3 ppg) is also averaging in double-figures for MC.
- The Lions are led by 14th-year head coach Bobby Champagne, who has 223 wins in his tenure at the helm. He has led UNA to 13 straight GSC Tournament appearances and two NCAA South Region appearances.
- Last time out, the Lions dropped a tight road contest at Delta State, falling 84-80. UNA grabbed a late 76-75 lead, but DSU bounced back for the win.
- Jackson (16.4 ppg) is the team's leading scorer and has a team-high 47 assists and 20 steals. Austin Timms (10.9 ppg) is also averaging ain double-figures with a team-high 7.4 rebounds per game. Jeff Hodge (9.0 ppg) and Myrek Lee-Fowlkes (7.8 ppg) lead the team with 19 made three-pointers on the season.
