CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College men's tennis team will play for the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) MidEast Region championship when they travel to face Campbellsville (KY) on Friday (April 29). The match is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m.

The Choctaws (14-8) advanced to the final after a 5-4 win over Belhaven on Saturday in Clinton. Sophomore Jose Rodrigo Gonzalez erased an early deficit to come back and win the clinching match. Overall, MC has won four straight matches going into Friday's match-up.

The Tigers (10-8) are the #18 ranked team in NAIA and advanced to the semi-finals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament, falling to #7 Lindsey Wilson.

The winner of Friday's match will earn the automatic bid into the NCCAA Championships, set to begin on May 10th in Mobile, Ala. The loser of Friday's match still has an opportunity to earn an at-large bid into the national tournament.
