CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College men's tennis team will open National Christian College Athletic Association postseason play on April 23rd when they will host Belhaven University in the MidEast Regional.

The Choctaws will welcome the Blazers to the MC Tennis Complex for an 11:00 a.m. match on that Saturday.

The two teams played back on March 15th in Clinton with Belhaven taking a 5-4 victory. The Blazers won 2-of-3 doubles matches with sophomore Lucio Menezes and freshman Maximilian Nilges winning the #2 point, 8-4.

In singles action, MC needed four victories and got things going as sophomore Marcos Rocca (#1) and Menezes (#2) grabbed straight-set victories. Sophomore Petar Damjanovic (#4) won a three-set match, but the Blazers won the other three singles matches to clinch the victory.

The winner of the April 23rd match will advance to the NCCAA MidEast Regional championship at Campbellsville (KY) University with the date to be determined.
