FLORENCE, Ala. --- For the second consecutive Sunday, the Mississippi College baseball team went into extra innings, but were edged out in the 11th, 5-4, at the University of North Alabama. MC dips to 12-23 and 5-18 in Gulf South Conference action while UNA improves to 19-17 and 11-13 in the conference.

Trailing 4-1 heading into its final at-bat in regulation, the Choctaws tied the contest with three runs in the ninth. Will Elliott started the scoring in the frame with a RBI double that scored Lee Self. After Colton Caver scored on a wild pitch, the Navy and Gold tied the contest one batter later as Hunter Hall delivered his second RBI of the contest with a single that scored Elliott.

Hall, who put the Choctaws on the board in the third inning with a solo home run – his first of the season and 16th on the campaign for the Choctaws, and Caver stood as the only two multiple hit performances on the day as they both collected two hits.

UNA claimed the contest as Heath Wood drove in Davis Elliott with a RBI single to clinch the series sweep.
