CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College men's basketball team will look to snap a three-game losing streak when they host West Florida on Saturday afternoon at A.E. Wood Coliseum. Tip-off for the Gulf South Conference contest is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
This will be the 8th all-time meeting between the two schools with MC holding a 4-3 edge in the series. UWF won the first three meetings, while the Choctaws have won four straight, including all three since re-starting GSC play last season.
The teams faced off in Pensacola back on December 17th, and the Choctaws opened up a 14-point lead in the opening half. The Argos closed fast and MC had to hold off a late charge to pick up an 84-82 victory. Four players scored in double-figures, led by
Tristan Moore with 20 and seven assists. Five players scored in double-figures for UWF, led by Rashaan Benson with 16.
