ARKADELPHIA, Ark. --- Playing without three of their top six players and numerous other injuries, the Mississippi College men's tennis team dropped three matches at Ouachita Baptist this weekend.
The Choctaws (2-3) played three regionally-ranked opponents in Harding, Ouachita Baptist and Southwest Baptist. OBU is ranked #17 in the country, while SBU is ranked 28th.

Jose Rodrigo Gonzalez at #3 (8-4).
MC would take the 2-1 lead into singles play, but the Bison (2-1), ranked 10th in the Central Region, won all six in straight sets to get the victory.
#17 Ouachita Baptist 9, Mississippi College 0 (Box Score)The Choctaws would play without their top three players against the nationally-ranked Tigers and fall, 9-0. MC was not able to fill the #3 doubles team and #6 singles position due to the injuries.
Sophomore
Petar Damjanovic took the #2 singles match into a second-set tiebreak before falling in straight sets.

Phillip Qu and sophomore
Josh Zeigler were forced into their first matches of the season as the Choctaws lost 9-0 to the nationally-ranked Bearcats.
Qu played the tightest singles match, losing the second set, 6-4, at the #3 position.
The Choctaws will be back in action this Wednesday when they will open Gulf South Conference play against Christian Brothers at 2:00 p.m. at the MC Tennis Complex.
