CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College men's basketball team closes out a four-game homestand to open the season when they host Selma University on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off in A.E. Wood Coliseum is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

Last Game: The Choctaws opened Gulf South Conference play against rival Delta State on Thursday night and got off to a hot start with a 25-12 lead with just over six minutes left in the first half. Johnson scored a career-high 26 points, including putting up 20 on 6-of-9 shooting from the three-point line in the first half. The Statesmen bounced back and walked out with a 68-58 win in Clinton.

GAME NOTES
- This will be the 2nd all-time meeting between Mississippi College and Selma with the Choctaws winning the other meeting on January 26, 1991 (109-73).
- Head coach Don Lofton enters his 13th season at the helm of the MC program, tallying 199 career victories over 320 games.
- The Choctaws are coming off a 68-58 loss to rival Delta State on Thursday night that saw MC take a 25-12 lead with just over six minutes remaining in the first half. The Choctaws shot only 1-of-16 from the three-point line in the second half as the Statesmen came back for the victory.
- Junior Antonio Johnson (17.0 ppg) scored a career-high 26 points, going 6-of-14 from the three-point line. The McComb native is the team's leading scorer and ranks 7th in the Gulf South Conference in scoring and 2nd in 3-point field goals made per game (4.3).
- Senior DeOndre Haynes (14.7 ppg) was the only other Choctaw in double-figures against DSU, and the Calera, Ala. native ranks 4th in the GSC in assists per game (5.3) and is 12th in scoring.
- Junior Stacey Mack (11.0 ppg) is averaging a double-double with 10.0 rebounds per game, which ranks 4th in the league. He pulled down a career-high 16 boards in the season-opening win over Auburn Montgomery.
- The Choctaws are holding opponents to 40% shooting from the floor this season, which ranks 3rd in the GSC. However, MC is shooting just 38% from the field, which ranks 12th.
 

Mississippi College is a private Christian university located in Clinton, Mississippi with an enrollment of over 5,000 students. MC is recently finished their transition process back to NCAA Division II and the Gulf South Conference and will be competing for conference and national championships in the 2016-17 academic year.
