LIVINGSTON, Ala. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team dropped a 3-0, Gulf South Conference contest on Saturday afternoon at Pruitt Hall on the University of West Alabama campus. MC moves to 9-18 on the season and 2-13 in the GSC while UWA improved to 16-11 and 8-7 in the conference.
 
With nine kills in the match, 
Jenna Campbell cracked the single-season top 10. The League City, Texas, product has a team-best 220 on the campaign, which places her in 10th in school history.
 
Kayana Mitchell moved into sixth in single-season block assists with 61. The Southaven, Miss., native sits two away from tying Nicole Horton in fifth and four from catching Katie Rowland in fourth.
 
Sydney Chandler and 
Bailee Berringer each dished out a team-best 10 assists in the match.
 
MC jumped out to an early lead in the first set, holding an 11-8 advantage and forcing UWA into a timeout. The Tigers used a 13-7 run to take a 21-18 lead before claiming the opening set 25-19. The Lady Choctaws faced large deficits early in the final two sets and couldn't overcome to extend the match.
 
West Alabama was led by Briana Sandifer with 11 kills while Callie Murphy had 28 assists. Abby Ames paced the Red and White with 17 digs.
 
Mississippi College returns to action on Friday, Nov. 4 as it hosts the University of North Alabama. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
