FLORENCE, Ala. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team dropped a 3-0, Gulf South Conference decision on Saturday, Oct. 1 at the 24th-ranked University of North Alabama. MC moves to 8-9, 1-8 GSC while UNA improves to 15-1, 7-1 in the conference.
Shelby Grace Mays,
Jenna Campbell and
Kayana Mitchell led the Lady Choctaws with three kills each.
Bailee Berringer and
Sydney Chandler dished out six and five assists respectively.
Defensively,
Madison Kimes collected seven digs with Campbell and Mitchell each garnering a block.
A tough day on the court, as the Navy and Gold logged just 14 kills on the day.
UNA was led by Natasha Fomina with 12 kills. Jayden Davila McClary had 27 assists. Three Lions had double-digit digs paced by 11 from Davila McClary. Peyton Lang and Ava Carnley each added 10.
Mississippi College returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 8 as it hosts Lee University in a Crohn's Disease Awareness match. Match time is set for 11 a.m.
